Should I caulk under my vinyl siding?
I am a single homeowner that works from home so I have so much time to do tasks that no one else has time for. I caulked and "great stuffed" my whole house and some noticeable cracks and gaps outside were caulked too. I always see these centipede looking bugs in my yard, and sometimes when mowing the yard I see them run up my house wall and underneath where the vinyl siding of my house lays (the bottom of the vinyl siding).
I wonder if that is a gap into the walls of my house? Should I take the time to caulk underneath the vinyl siding which should be difficult as it would be hard to get a good angle with it being near the ground. Thanks.
No - it could be that the siding was made to release air and moisture from the house through those cracks. Houses "breathe" quite a lot. Those bugs are probably your friends anyway - they're just ugly.
