What connectors do i need to extend an aerial cable on an outside wall?
i have put a tv in the back room and want to run the cable from where it hangs out the front along the wall to the back. Problem is the cable was a couple of meters too short.
i have an extra bit of cable but want to know what sort of connectors do i put between the two - male to female? gold plated? waterproof? coax?
please be very clear as i need to know what to buy exactly

i have found the best method,and believe me i have tried loads,is to do what tv engineers told me was the best method of jointing it,the tape twist joint.Bare both ends,twist the centre cores together then wrap ordinary electrical pvc tape(obviously match with the colour of the cable if poss),around this working from the front back towards the outer braidings,twist these together then wrap them around the centre core you just taped over,then twist tape aronud and follow back up over the outer braids,wrap tape a couple of more times over it and hey presto a waterproof LOW RESISTIVITY joint and perfect pictures.
