What can I use to get really pretty skin? And remedies for getting rid of dark, baggy eyes?
I don't have acne problems or anything, my skin is just.. yuck. It's naturally smooth and tight, I guess. I have a lot of freckles though, sometimes they look really bad. (I love them, but they don't always suit my pale/translucent like skin) I have very dry skin in the winter, which is around now. I've never really used any cleansers, moisturizers, etc. before. I don't know what an exfoliator is, nothing haha. I just want to start a skin care routine, preferably not too wary on the wallet, that makes it smooth, glowing, and natural-looking. Maybe even some remedies to get rid of dark circles and bags? Mine can get pretty bad and even with make-up on, they're a bit noticeable.
(This is them on an average day, no make-up. They usually look worse, because I'm normally not tanned.)

Okay so since you don't have any problems with acne or anything, you're going to want to start just a basic skin care regimen. A good skin care regimen will make your skin brighter and more beautiful.
You want to go to the drug store/department store and get three things: basic cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. I always recommend using one line of products because they usually have all of the ingredients worked out so they don't cause any irritation or reactions. I've always like Neutrogena, because the products work well and are affordable. I use Philosophy from Sephora (try Make Up Optional), which is a little pricier, but if you're willing to spend the money it works really well. And you really have to commit to washing your face twice a day, every day, no matter what product you end up using.
You're also going to want to use a day AND night cream for your moisturizer to help combat dry skin. Use the normal moisturizer that you find with the other products and also buy a heavier night cream for when you sleep because your skin can really dry out at night. Also consider putting a humidifier in your room during the winter.
And lastly, as for the dark circles, I know of three things that almost always get rid of dark circles. Try putting two spoons in the freezer at night before you go to bed and apply them to your eyes first thing in the morning. The cold will help calm the puffiness down.
You can also try tea bags. Run the tea bags under some hot (not boiling, that can sometimes dye your skin) water. Apply them to your eyes for 10-15 minutes. The caffeine in the tea will get the blood flowing in the skin around your eyes.
The other thing you can do is go to the drug store and get one of the rolling balls (I know Garnier makes one) that have caffeine. Both the rolling ball and the caffeine stimulate the blood flow in the vessels under your eyes.
If none of this works in significantly reducing the dark circles under your eyes, you're definitely going to want to make an appointment with your doctor to make sure there's no external cause (allergies for example).
Best of luck, and I hope I've helped.
