Wireless connection goes out when someone answers an incomming call.?
I bought my parents a wireless phone with v-tech with 2 phones. One connects through the phone jack and the other is wireless in the family room. We had a cordless phone before that was just hooked up to the jack with no problems. Well now, whenever someone answers a call through the phone line the wireless internet goes out (not the wired connection though, it still stays connected). This is starting to get pretty annoying, does anyone have any ideas or solutions? We are using SBC as our ISP and 2wire 2700HG-B for our dsl modem/wireless router.
The reason is because both might be working on the 2.4 GHZ band. With those new systems, the cordless only needs the cradel plugged in the power outlet with no phone jack and thus it picks up all from the Air, thus because both use the same frequency for data transfer, when a call is answered on the cordless, wireless connect might get weak and lose signal.
