Which microphone is a better buy. Are any 30$ microphones ok for singing?
I want to buy a wireless microphone but obviously a $30 mic will not be of good quality and will break very easily. I have the choice of these two microphones, the "NAXA VHF/FM 110-270MHz Wireless Microphone System NX984", link http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Naxa-Dual-Wireless-Microphone-System-NX984/3053813/product.html and second microphone is called "PYLE PRO PDWM100 Handheld Wired/Wireless Microphone" and the link is http://www.thedeepdiscount.com/p-901-new-pyle-pro-pdwm100-dj-pa-wiredwireless-handheld-microphone-system.aspx . Probably both of these mic's are bad, but please can you tell me which one is the better buy.
Sorry, my first reaction to your question was no way, save your money. Even wired mikes at 30 bucks are a disappointment to most.
Then I looked at the first website, overstock...
The price does NOT include shipping, handling or tax. They have YET to hook up with PayPal. I smell a rat. Have a look around ebay. There are all kinds of "deals" for a dollar and then the shipping is 50. People sold empty boxes when the PS3 came out... buyer beware.
On the positive side of things, there are reputable dealers but why not check out a local musicians supply store, or even a place that sells guitars? They usually have a "used" board and you could at least get someone's older system for a deal. Ask around. Or buy new, try before you buy and dont get ripped off. Something worthwhile is worth waiting for/saving up for.
For 13 pages of wireless mike systems from a reputable store/online seller, see link. 200 dollars and change up to thousands. Wireless mike systems cannot be 30 bucks, sorry. If you're in Canada, check out long and mcquade. Good luck
