FCC rules concerning VHF use Microphones?
I have heard that because of some situation with the FCC that karaoke and other users of VHF wireless microphones will not be able to use them very soon. Anyone heard anything about this? Any details on this?
From what I understand, it's not that they won't be allowed to so much as there will be a large amount of noise and interference. The gov't plans on using VHF waves. This is why antenna television went digital freeing up much of that space. This also hits theatre departments using wireless mics, and many many others. You can however, from what I've heard, contact... someone?... and reserve a frequency for a set amount of time... for $X... This is what I've heard but I've done no research on it personally.
