Early Zeppelin or Later Zeppelin?
Zeppelin I - IV or Zeppelin houses of the holy - in through the outdoor
why?
i personaly like early, the blues was awesome, it was much better then later zep, but i'd take later zep over any other band
I'd pick later Led Zeppelin... it's hard, but I choose it because they didn't actually lose their blues influence, they just branched out more. You still get songs like In My Time of Dying, Nobody's Fault But Mine, and if you count Coda (which you should), Travelling Riverside Blues, but by then there is so much variety, showing that Led Zeppelin could excel in many different types of music; they could make simply gorgeous love songs (The Rain Song), blend hard rock and funk perfectly (The Crunge, Trampled Under Foot), use exotic influences (D'Yer Mak'er, Kashmir), experiment with early progressive rock (Carouselambra), and still manage to make the catchiest songs imaginable (Dancing Days, Houses of the Holy, Hots On For Nowhere). I love early Led Zeppelin of course... they're my favorite band, but if forced to pick, I would choose later Led Zeppelin. They managed to avoid going stale like so many bands do by taking their influence from places people never thought Led Zeppelin would venture and created the most amazing songs ever.
